University Procurement Services has released new discretionary spending guidance and resources to determine which goods and services are necessary, appropriate, and reasonable expenditures that advance the university’s mission. No single department, school, unit, or person can recoup the loss that the pandemic has imposed upon Rutgers. Staff and faculty within every unit have a responsibility to continuously exercise discretion in spending habits to help the university move toward a more financially stable position.
