All discretionary spending is suspended indefinitely. This includes hiring of outside consultants, conference expenses, food/meals, events, equipment, travel, and other expenditures that are not critical to the operation of the university. Essential expenditures that directly support the mission of the university must be pre-approved by the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration (michael.gower@rutgers.edu) prior to completing a requisition or making a transaction using a procurement card.  More information to follow.
